Crawl Budget & Sitemap Optimisation
Every crawl spent on pages that matter, not thank-you pages or duplicate URLs.
LogixLevel's Crawl Budget service audits every URL Google discovers, classifies real versus funnel versus soft-duplicate versus thin content, sets 301 redirects from old dummy slugs to the correct new destination (not the generic /main fallback GHL auto-creates), applies noindex, follow to internal workflow pages, and resubmits a clean sitemap. Typically moves indexed count from 12 or 15 pages up to 90 percent of real pages within 6 weeks. Fixed $200.
Why this exists
Google and Bing crawlers only have finite budget per site. This service makes sure every crawl is spent on pages that matter, not thank-you pages, dummy URLs, funnel forms, or duplicate content.
What you get after 2 to 3 business days
A 301 redirect table, a noindex list, a regenerated sitemap and GSC Coverage report walkthrough. Optional 30-day monitoring add-on to catch new crawl issues before they compound.
What's included
- ✓Full sitemap audit, every URL classified (real, funnel, soft-duplicate, thin, error)
- ✓301 redirect plan from old dummy URLs to the correct new page (not blanket-to-homepage)
- ✓Soft-duplicate cleanup (/home, /main, /service GHL aliases)
- ✓Sitemap regeneration plus resubmission to GSC and Bing
- ✓Robots.txt configuration plus crawl-error triage
- ✓GSC Coverage report walkthrough plus 30-day monitoring option
Best for
- • Sites where GSC shows 100+ URLs discovered but fewer than 15 indexed
- • GHL sub-accounts with default slugs (/hgjg, /nbv, /service-1) getting indexed
- • Sites that recently renamed pages and now serve duplicate content under old + new URLs
- • Owners seeing thin-content warnings in Search Console
Questions about Crawl Budget & Sitemap Optimisation
What is crawl budget?
Google allocates a finite amount of crawl activity to each site, based on authority and update frequency. If your budget is spent on thank-you pages and duplicates, real product or service pages never get crawled or indexed. Crawl budget optimisation is the discipline of directing that budget to pages that actually deserve it.
Why does GHL create so many soft-duplicate URLs?
GHL keeps every old page slug as an active alias when you rename a page. So /home, /main, /service and the new /about-us all resolve to the same page. Google sees five URLs, one real page, and de-indexes four. GHL's built-in redirect UI cannot handle reserved-word paths, which is why manual intervention is needed.
Will this hurt any pages that are ranking?
No. Real content pages are left alone. We only redirect dummy slugs, noindex funnel pages, and clean up duplicates. Ranking pages keep their equity and gain from consolidated crawl signal.
Do you handle the redirects in GHL?
We produce the exact redirect table (from-path, to-URL, type) and walk you through the GHL Sites, Domains, URL Redirects UI. Some rules cannot be set via the UI because GHL locks the source path (common with reserved words); we document the workaround for those.
